About me – Ryan Kari
I have been blessed to have an incredible number of experiences. I am the Chief Technical Officer at MagCanica, Inc. that is pushing the boundaries of magnetoelastic torque measurement as used by every Formula 1 racing team and the U.S. military. I spend my days working on the cutting edge, ensuring that our technology is continuously moving forward while at the same time is becoming more robust and easier to use. I’m also active in MagCanica’s IP portfolio trying to ensure our work is protected. When I have available time, I also explore other opportunities within the world of magnetoelastics, such as what is document at www.magnetovibe.com. Beyond this, I also enjoy tinkering, developing new products for friends and family, as well as interacting with technical peers within the 7CTOs organization.
I am also a firm believer in the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, such that I have been running approximately 25 miles per week over the last 5 years, and enjoy biking (road and mountain biking), as well as our beaches, in particular with my young kids.
I’m based out of San Diego, CA, such that if you’re ever in the area, please contact me as I’m always interested in a good discussion over coffee. I must admit that is increasingly more difficult in our new world of social distancing, such that I’m also always eager to chat and learn over zoom as well.
About this blog
This blog is one of my outlets for experimenting, sharing knowledge, and community interaction. With each post, I’d like to share my knowledge about the various areas required to bring a product together – FEA, mechanical prototyping, electrical engineering and prototyping, and deployment of smart systems through the integration of microcontrollers. I understand that growing my abilities requires the support of others. I will always greatly value your feedback.
I hope to post regularly, such that if you want to be part of the action, please check back regularly.
